গল্পঃ আজ আমার দিন
পরিমল বলে, “স্টেশনের পাশে রতনখোলা মাঠে, বড় প্রজেক্ট আসছে। বেশ কয়েক হাজার কোটি টাকার ইনভেস্টমেন্ট।” থাইয়ের ভাঁজে আর-একটা বেল্টে আটকানো ছ’ইঞ্চির একটা ধারালো ছুরি। বহু দিন পর রণসাজে শীতলের ভাল লাগল।
শব্দ-গন্ধ
It was dawn in Dimpukur with siren from factory. People used to compare watches. Meanwhile, a brass bell hangs in the outpost. Every hour a sepoy hammered with exact count. The bell sounds from far away. The smell of the rice in the morning office-goer is accompanied by the sound of siren. And on a winter's night, the sound of the long hours of eleven or twelve o'clock in the apparently quiet country air seemed to prolong the silence. ডিমপুকুরে ভোর হতো কারাখানার ভোঁ-র সাথে। মানুষ ঘড়ি মিলিয়ে নিত। ওদিকে ফাঁড়িতেও একটা পেতলের পেটা ঘন্টা ঝোলানো।
